Hi Mommy,

Please tell me what you think of these clothes.

1. Beige sweater, $50 (on sale from $78).  It is soft and comfortable, just not sure it is worth $50
2. Gray felt blazer, $80 (on sale from $160).  It is very soft, but I'm not sure if it is practical.
3. Gray/black long heavy coat, $91 (on sale from $130, but I got it from Ross so the suggested retail price is more almost $300).  It is just a tiny bit big for me.
4. Dark gray sweater/jacket, $35 at Ross.  I really like it--it is warm and comfortable.

Thanks for your opinion!
Steph

Dearest Stephanie
I look @ your 4 clothings that you sent to me for opinion,  twice.
this is my honest opinion on all of them, don't care about how much they cost,
I think they are all pretty "UGLY"
even God bless you with a beautiful figure, all most like > 95% no matter what you put on ,
both daddy & me all ways say you look nice.
but not with these 4 clothings
they are not just UGLY by themselve, they made you look fat , heavy & UGLY too for no reason.
So, my advice is to  RETURN THEM ALL ASAP
When we 've a chance we shop together, I 'll HELP you pick clothing that will make you look cute & classic

May God BLESS you ALLWAYS with his WISDOM & HEALTHY LONG LIFE
also KEEP YOU ALLWAYS  SAFE  from all evil harmfull things
LOVEEEEEEEEEEE
Mommy

sounds like a cool mom you have! save the money and invest on a KitchenAid stand mixer! I am addicted to that thing...seriously.
aww, makes me miss my mom. i don't think they make you look fat, but i agree that they're more trendy than classic.
Maybe it's the wide angle distortion on the lens making u look... heavier than usual...
I like #4 best. Personally I'd go for that one :-D
I like the Coat
#2 is awesome! #3 is nice too but probably too heavy for the Bay Area.
I love how honest moms can be! =)

I agree with Linda that #4 is the best. Definitely keep that one. #3 is too big you, so don't keep it unless you get it tailored to fit right. Can I have it if you don't keep it? =) #2 is missing the bottom button, which would make it more flattering on you. I like it a lot though! I like the collar on #1, but I'm wary of how useful cropped sweaters are...

yeah, #2 is quite rockin'
@Wendy you really want the herringbone coat?  I'm happy to pass it on to you--let me know cuz I was going to return it tomorrow..  #2 it has an extra button so it's just a matter of sewing it on.  I got a lot of compliments on #1 when I wore it once but I am dubious about the kimono shape.  you're right, it's not that warm... just a tiny bit more useful than a sleeveless sweater =D
Are you close to the deadline for returning the coat? If not, then could
you hold on to it for me? We could get together next weekend, maybe.
Otherwise, just return it.
That note from your Mom is priceless!
I agree with her on the clothes.
@Wendy I think I bought it just a little over a week ago, so it should be good to hang onto until next weekend =)
hahahaha. your mom is too funny =)
and are they really that bad? i like the 2nd one. heehee
Lol, gosh your mum is hillarious. My mum would've said that i should have given her the money instead...she is that money oriented!
your mom is too funny, hehe.
so what did you do?? :)
Update (at Stephanie's request): I returned the cropped sweater.  I plan to return the heavy herringbone coat, unless Wendy wants to buy it off me.  I will probably keep the gray sweater/jacket and I am completely torn on the gray flannel blazer... though I did exchange it for one that had all the buttons properly attached to it.  Still hemming ad hawing about it.
keep it! it's fantastic!
Yea but is it $86 (incl. tax) fantastic??  I have a dark gray Marc Jacobs (retails at $300!) blazer already...more geometric than frilly though, that I got for just $40 from this awesome place in Burbank called It's a Wrap which culls clothing from TV and movie productions.  Sure it's just a tad bit small, but you can't beat a deal like that.
Because I'm spoiled by such deals, I have to hem and haw about overpaying for stuff at Anthro.  Though what really got me hooked on this blazer is the actual material--mostly synthetic but oh-so-soft!
